How to Play the Game
Turn Watching Pool Into Part of the Action
What Is BONK?
BONK is a spectator game played alongside a live game of 8-Ball or 3-Strikes. Like Bingo, players mark spaces on their BONK cards as events occur during the match.
How to Play
Each BONK card contains a $4 \times 4$ grid representing the 15 object balls plus one MISS square.
As balls are pocketed during the live game, players mark the corresponding squares on their BONK cards. If a shooter misses a shot, players mark the MISS square.
The first player to complete any one of the following patterns wins:
-
Four squares across a row
-
Four squares down a column
-
Four squares diagonally
When a player completes a winning pattern, they shout: BONK!
Play pauses briefly while the card is checked and verified. Once verified, the player is declared the winner.
Playing During a 3-Strikes Event
BONK is especially popular during 3-Strikes competitions, where spectators may watch several racks of balls before the game ends—making it possible to complete BONK several times if determined by the event director.
Cards may be distributed free of charge for promotional events or made available for purchase where permitted by local laws and event rules.
Why BONK?
BONK gives spectators a reason to follow every shot, every miss, and every turn at the table. Whether you're a seasoned player or someone simply watching friends compete, BONK makes the action more engaging and more fun—even if you have never played pool before.
