Just south of Ventura is Oxnard. It is not only a beach city, but there are plenty of agricultural crops there, like onions.
Corner Pocket Billiards
More of a night club recreation room rather than a pool hall. Tables are terrible. Felt is so slow the cue ball screeches to a halt halfway down the table. Apparently the loud music and full bar is more important than shooting pool. Hrs 12 -12.

Q Club
The Q Club Oxnard is a full-service billiards, bar-and-grill, sports lounge. Great quality of tables has gone down in the last years. Seems like they moved the tables around since most of them have bumps at the seams between the slate. Made from local manufacturer, but they all need new felt. Rick Delgado runs United Pool Players League (BCA) weekly, Mon-8Ball, Thur-9ball. Also APA leagues shoot there as well. Safe and friendly establishment
(Wednesday is Karaoke night.)

Buteras Billiards (in Moor Park)
A real shooters' hall with celebrity matches now and then, like Johnny Archer and Nick Varner. The owner, Sal Butera, was in Vegas at a match when I stopped in. His father, "Machine Gun" Lou Butera was a famous shooter from the past. Great tables, both BCA and APA leagues shoot here. They have cue services and pool table servicing as well. It's in a good suburban neighborhood, female friendly environment. Check out the tournaments in the poster below.
